Location near the airport is convenient. Lobby and lounge are nice. The room was really crappy. The king bed was so worn I had to sleep directly in the middle to avoid feeling like I was in a deep bowl. They gave me a room for wheelchair guests without even telling me (I had booked a regular king room) so there was no counter at the sink to put anything and the layout was uncomfortable and awkward. The windows were permanently fogged up so you could barely see outside. The shower head was broken - it was left hooked on the edge of the soap dish with no way to hang it to take a shower. I literally had to use the cord from the hair dryer to tie the shower head in place so I could take a semblance of a shower. I would have asked for another room if I had noticed the shower situation last night. This is a really bad way to treat any guest, much less a frequent traveler and loyal Marriott Bonvoy member. What bothers me most isn’t the crappy room, it is the sneaky “bait and switch” approach used to put me in a room type different than what I booked without asking or telling me. Shame on you Sheraton North Houston IAH!

Extremely disappointed with the quality of this hotel. Seems Marriott needs to review whether this hotel meets the standards to carry the Sheraton flag and name. The airport shuttle does not run on a loop pick up guests at airport, you need to call for it. Hotel itself is very low quality, lacking current day upgrades of carpeting, furniture, bathrooms, bedding, mattresses you would expect and find at other Sheraton hotels. Air conditioning did not work this time and many other previous times while staying here, and maintenance had to come up to resolve it, it should not be like this every time, room should be in working order before guests are given the room, so they don't need to discover problems and call for help. Room cleanliness was another issue, room seemed extremely dirty and windows are NEVER cleaned on outside, it's not the humidity, they are just so dirty you cannot see outside of them, see my attached photos. Also not many options to walk to for a meal (very limited to say the least). You're much better off just staying at the IAH Marriott for a Marriott quality stay by the airport.

Gross hotel - very dirty! Please don't stay here. This might be the dirtiest hotel I've ever stayed at. Stains on floor and walls, peeling bathtubs, musty smell, dirty vents, and the staff are just terrible. Customer service is non existent here. Staff act as if we are troubling them just to get something simple like towels (was told to go get it myself from back room for only employees)

Staff are all fantastic! Especially the wait staff for dinner (decent food, great ambience, eat at the bar or a table) or breakfast (typical fare) are all extremely helpful and friendly! I was disappointed in the condition of my room since it was rather dated, peeling tub, and furniture is not as functional as I'm used to including the coffee maker didn't work... That said, I have no doubt I haven't stayed at another property where all wood surfaces are covered with glass - very nice touch of class! Bed was comfy, heavyweight bedding was nice, big king pillows were full, firm enough to hold up but not so much they weren't functional... I have to mention the bedding also had many worn spots and dated, but great quality so I can see why it's still being used... speaking of linens, towels are LARGE and thick!! I'm not a towels snob, but I appreciated the size! I had a small safe in the closet, full size ironing board & iron, not all properties have them! Tells me also the "age" of the property. Speaking of the property! Lots of space, even when they fill it up with events! Carpets in the halls on the floors are a bit run down and frays are evident, BUT they truly take care to keep it all clean and vacuumed... Parking close to an entrance can be a challenge, but it's not inconvenient... Overall, I would consider staying here again, but I also believe I would speak up with requirements of a tub that isn't peeling...

It's got a shuttle to and from the airport. There is a club lounge but there's nothing but some water bottles, juices, soda and chips. Bed was very uncomfortable. We only stayed here because it was the airline's hotel voucher. There are some restaurants across the street. It's fine for a free night due to a flight disruption but I'd never purposely stay here again.
